The Columbia Gorge Marathon and Half Marathon are the MOST GORGE'OUS courses in the world. The routes will take your breath away! The courses follow the historic Columbia River Gorg
e with continuous views of the Columb
ia River and its spectacular Gorge. Participants will also enjoy close-up views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Ranier. Should you take a moment to enjoy your surroundings, do
not be surprised to see Bald Eagles, Deer, Elk, and more.
The 26.2 and 13.1 mile runs also explore the rural farmlands and orchards of the Columbia River Valley. Participants will
be treated to many of the fresh local fruits (apples, pears, cherries, etc.) at the finish of the event.
We cannot offer you city streets lined with crowds of people. We can offer you the
most GORGE'OUS event you will ever experience.
The event is organized and managed by people who have collectively participated in more than 20
0 marathons and/or endurance events. We have made great efforts to provide participants a
REAL EVENT, and not just another race. Our volunteer to runner ratio is approximately 1:4.
You will be treated to a genuine celebration with fellow participants at the finish. Live music, fresh fruit, and cold beer will soothe your spirit and comfort your legs.. . and if you want, the river is a few feet away, and soaking is an almost certain relief.
